What is Endotracheal Intubation ?

Newborns, even healthy ones, have to take a list of vaccines at their scheduled age to prevent the risk of diseases and suffering in the future. New-born vaccinations are nothing but an immunization scheme to see that each baby gets immunized against diseases that can be avoided. The vaccines contain a weakened form of the antigen, which when inserted into the baby’s body, stimulates the body’s inbuilt immunization reactions. BCG, Polio, Hepatitis B vaccines are a must. Most of these vaccines are given in doses with a gap period in between. Antigen-specific vaccines are most commonly administered in the
early months of a baby’s life. Some vaccines provide immunization against multiple diseases in one shot.

  • Hemodialysis is a treatment to filter wastes and water from your blood, as your kidneys.
  • Did when they were healthy. Hemodialysis helps control blood pressure and balance.
  • Important minerals, such as potassium, sodium, and calcium, in your blood.
  • Hemodialysis can help you feel better and live longer, but it’s not a cure for kidney failure.
  • You may be able to do hemodialysis at home. Normally, hemodialysis begins well before your kidneys have shut down to the point of causing life-threatening complications.

What is Endotracheal Intubation ?

How is it done?

  • Before the procedure, the baby may be given a light sedative to calm them down. Topical anesthesia may also be applied to numb the pain.
  • If the baby is hypoventilated, they will be given oxygen via a bag before the procedure.
  • The windpipe is visualized and the intubation tube slowly inserted via the mouth to reach the required depth.
  • Once inside, the laryngoscope used to gain access will be removed and the tube cuff inflated.
  • The baby will then be on continuous oxygenation. The tube will be secured onto the skin using adhesive tapes.
  • The oxygen levels and the vitals of the baby will be constantly monitored on the attached computer.
