Forehead lift

What is Forehead lift ?

Also known as Brow-lift, forehead lift is the cosmetic surgical technique done to get rid of wrinkles and drooping forehead lines that occur as a result of aging. It improves the appearance of the forehead by increasing the skin and tissue tightness around the eyebrows and hairline. It can also be done in young patients who have asymmetric brows, drooping brows, or sagging eyelids. The procedure can either be a classic lift, where an incision is made along your hairline, or an endoscopic lift, where several minor cuts are made along the forehead, and the lift is performed. Patients may also opt for a blepharoplasty along with a forehead lift for better results.

What is Hysterectomy?

A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus, and most likely, the cervix. Depending on the reason for the surgery, a hysterectomy may involve removing surrounding organs and tissues, such as the fallopian tubes and ovaries. The uterus is where a baby grows during pregnancy. It’s lining is the blood you shed during your menstrual period. You lose the ability to get pregnant and you will not get your period after a hysterectomy.

How is it done?

  • Prior to the procedure, the doctors will record your facial measurements, photographs and dimensions. You should talk to the surgeon about your vision and goals.
  • Based on the technique chosen, an incision will be made under anesthesia, at the level of your ears and will be extended till your hairline.
  • The skin will be elevated and retracted to expose the tissues of your forehead. The tissues surrounding the eyebrows will be located.
  • The deeper tissues will be pulled upwards towards the hairline and will be sutured in close approximation. Excess droopy skin will be excised and the layers will be sutured tightly.
  • A sterile dressing will be done. The patient will be advised not to rub vigorously, touch or move the forehead muscles.
