In Case of an Emergency?
There are a lot of medical emergencies ranging from a heart attack, decreased glucose level, syncope or loss of consciousness, fractures, stroke, gastro-intestinal emergencies, and more. The main common step that you need to take in case of an emergency no matter which system it pertains to is not to panic. It only worsens the condition. Then, be sure to move the patient to a spacious, less harmful place, do not crowd around the patient, loosen restricting clothing, and take emergency medicine if any have already been prescribed. In unconscious patients, maintaining the airway, breathing and circulation are important. For this CPR may be administered. In conscious patients, care should be given to stop bleeding if any. In any case, rushing to the hospital as soon as possible is a must.
